Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha
About Us
This website was created around a simple idea:
There is a great deal of difficulty, uncertainty, and suffering in the world, but there are also countless stories that can offer hope, strength, and inspiration. Unfortunately, many of these stories remain untold.
Our goal is to collect and share experiences that remind us that change is possible, that even in difficult times we can find support and guidance, and that kindness, compassion, and wisdom are powerful forces in human life.
One of the purposes of this website is to introduce the inspiring figures, yidams, and practices of Tibetan Buddhism. Green Tara, Chenrezig, Vajrasattva, and many other enlightened beings have provided hope, guidance, and inner strength to countless people for centuries. We do not share these teachings to convince anyone of anything, but because they have helped many people through challenging periods of their lives.
Here you will find personal stories, inspiring life experiences, traditional tales, short teachings, and simple practices that anyone can try. The most meaningful stories are not always the most extraordinary ones. Sometimes a single kind word, an unexpected encounter, a prayer, or a mantra can change the direction of a person's life.
We believe that stories have power.
A single story can give hope to someone who feels lost. A single story can encourage someone not to give up. Sometimes a story can achieve more than a hundred pieces of advice.
That is why we would like to ask for your help.
If you have a personal story you would like to share, or if you know of an inspiring experience, event, or person, please send it to us. Your story can be long or short, shared under your name or completely anonymously. What matters is not how extraordinary it may seem, but whether it has the potential to help others.
And if you feel that the content on this website has value, we kindly ask you to share it with others. A story, a teaching, or a simple practice may reach exactly the person who needs it most.
Thank you for being here.
We hope that through these stories, teachings, and practices you will find inspiration, peace, courage, and strength—and that they may also become a source of benefit for others.

A tibeti hagyomány gyakran a második Buddhának nevezi. Ahogyan a történelmi Buddha vezette be a felszabadulás útját Indiában, úgy Padmasambhava is elismerte annak a tisztességnek az út szilárd elültetését a Hó Földjén.
A csodálatos születés
Miközben a történészek vitatkoznak élete részleteiről, a tibeti buddhisták szimbolikusan tekintik ezeket a beszámolókat felébredt természetének kifejezéseiként.
A meghívás Tibetbe
A nyolcadik században Trisong Detsen tibeti király a buddhizmust világszerte megalapította.
The king followed this advice, and Padmasambhava journeyed to Tibet.
This event would forever change the spiritual history of the region.
Subduing the Forces Opposing the Dharma
One of the most famous aspects of Padmasambhava's life involves his encounters with the powerful local spirits and forces believed to oppose the spread of Buddhism.
According to Tibetan tradition, Padmasambhava did not destroy these beings.
Instead, he transformed them.
Through wisdom, compassion, and spiritual power, he bound them by oath to protect the Dharma and assist future practitioners.
Many of Tibet's Dharma protectors are said to have originated from these transformed forces.
Whether interpreted literally, symbolically, or psychologically, these stories convey a central Buddhist principle:
Even the most difficult energies can be transformed into forces that support awakening.
Samye Monastery
One of Padmasambhava's greatest achievements was helping establish Samye Monastery, the first fully functioning Buddhist monastery in Tibet.
Completed in the eighth century, Samye became a center for translation, study, meditation, and spiritual training.
Indian Buddhist texts were translated into Tibetan, creating the foundation for the vast Tibetan Buddhist canon that survives today.
Without these efforts, much of Buddhist literature might have been lost.
For this reason, Padmasambhava is remembered not only as a tantric master but also as one of the principal architects of Tibetan Buddhism itself.
The Nyingma Tradition
Padmasambhava is particularly revered within the Nyingma school, the oldest tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
Nyingma practitioners regard him as their founding master and the source of many of their most important teachings.
Among these are profound practices related to Dzogchen, often translated as "Great Perfection."
Dzogchen emphasizes the direct recognition of the mind's intrinsic nature—naturally pure, luminous, and already complete.
Many Nyingma teachings trace their origins directly to Padmasambhava.
The Hidden Treasures (Termas)
One of the most unique aspects of Padmasambhava's legacy is the tradition of termas, or hidden spiritual treasures.
According to tradition, Padmasambhava and his foremost disciple, Yeshe Tsogyal, concealed teachings, sacred objects, and spiritual instructions throughout Tibet and the Himalayan regions.
These treasures were hidden for future generations when circumstances would be most favorable for their discovery.
Those destined to reveal them became known as tertöns, or treasure revealers.
Over the centuries, hundreds of termas have been discovered, becoming an important source of spiritual inspiration and practice.
The Eight Manifestations
Padmasambhava is often depicted through eight principal manifestations, each expressing a different aspect of enlightened activity.
These forms symbolize various qualities such as:
- Compassion
- Wisdom
- Spiritual power
- Fearlessness
- Transformation
- Protection
- Teaching
- Meditation
Together, they illustrate the many ways enlightened activity can benefit sentient beings according to their needs and circumstances.
Padmasambhava and the Modern World
More than twelve centuries after his lifetime, Padmasambhava remains a central figure in Tibetan Buddhism.
His teachings are practiced throughout the world.
His mantra,
Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum
is recited daily by countless practitioners.
His life story continues to inspire those seeking courage, transformation, and spiritual realization.
For many practitioners, Padmasambhava represents the possibility of transforming every obstacle into a path toward awakening.
The Deeper Meaning of the Second Buddha
At the deepest level, Padmasambhava's life symbolizes the transformative power of wisdom and compassion.
The demons he subdued can be understood as our own fear, anger, attachment, pride, and ignorance.
The hidden treasures can be understood as the wisdom already present within our own minds.
The sacred land of Tibet can be understood as the field of consciousness itself.
Through this lens, the story of Padmasambhava becomes more than history.
It becomes a spiritual map.
His teachings remind us that no obstacle is ultimately greater than wisdom, no confusion stronger than awareness, and no suffering beyond transformation.
For this reason, Tibetan Buddhists continue to honor Padmasambhava as the Second Buddha—a master whose compassion and enlightened activity continue to guide practitioners more than a thousand years after his appearance in the world.
